Planning your Burj Khalifa visit means choosing not only the right experience (observation deck, lounge, etc.) but also the right show time—the time slot when you’re allowed to enter. This guide explains typical opening hours, how time slots work and how to pick the best time for your trip.
Burj Khalifa Opening Hours – Overview
The Burj Khalifa observation decks and lounge experiences generally operate daily with opening hours that span from morning until late evening (e.g. from around 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 or 11:00 p.m., depending on the experience and season). Exact opening and closing times can change; always confirm with the official Burj Khalifa site or your ticket provider when you book.
Time Slots (Show Times)
When you buy a ticket, you usually select a time slot (e.g. 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m.). This is your “show time”—the window in which you should arrive and enter. Arriving late may mean you lose your slot. Your ticket may allow a set duration on the observation level (e.g. one to two hours) once you’re inside. Slots are spaced to manage crowd flow.
Peak vs Off-Peak
Peak times—typically sunset and early evening—are the most requested and often cost more. Morning and afternoon slots are usually cheaper and less crowded. Weekends and holidays are busier than weekdays. If you want to save money and avoid crowds, choose an off-peak slot; if you want the classic sunset view, book a peak slot well in advance.
At.mosphere and The Lounge Hours
At.mosphere (level 122) and The Lounge (152–154) operate on reservation or time-slot basis, often with slightly different hours than the main observation deck. Lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and lounge access have their own booking times. Check the venue or your booking platform for the latest show times and availability.
Closures and Maintenance
The attraction may occasionally close for private events, maintenance or special occasions. Major holidays (e.g. New Year’s Eve) may have different opening hours or access rules. Before your visit, confirm that your date and show time are valid and that there are no unexpected closures.
Arrival Tips
Arrive at The Dubai Mall with enough time to find the Burj Khalifa entrance, pass security and reach the elevators. Aim to be at the entrance at the start of your time slot or a few minutes earlier. Fast track tickets reduce queue time but do not change your show time—you still need to arrive within your slot.
Check current opening hours and book your time slot.
